Under the hood: Whisper speech recognition runs entirely in this tab
(WebGPU when available, WASM otherwise). The first run downloads the model
weights (39 MB – 1.6 GB depending on model) and caches them in your browser;
after that it's instant. Tiny and Base are quick and fine for clear vocals;
Small balances speed and accuracy; Medium and Large v3 Turbo are most
accurate but want a strong GPU.

How timing survives edits: when you retype a line, its new words share
the old timing evenly between their neighbours, so sing-along highlighting
stays smooth. Words you keep keep their exact original timings.

Add a background
Put a photo or video behind the lyrics. We dim it slightly so the words pop.
Under the hood: backgrounds fill the frame edge-to-edge (cover-fit),
and a soft dark gradient — a scrim — sits behind the lyric area so words
stay readable on bright scenes.

We add lyrics and titles on top — your footage and its sound stay untouched.
